TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a description of the basic responsibilities for teachers whose students are going to science camp.

Before the arrival at PEEC:

1. Prepare the class for the field trip i.e. send home appropriate forms, review camp rules, introduce natural history topics.

2. Have a one night meeting with the parents to go over science camp.

3. Leave a list of students going on the trip with the school office.

4. Send participant list to PEEC.

5. One teacher must accompany the bus to and from camp.

6. Set up cabin groups.

At PEEC:

1. Supervise recreation and shower time.

2. Dispense medicines.

3. Oversee nighttime supervision.

4. Organize journal time.

5. One teacher must accompany the bus to and from study sites.
